Their quest to find a way to regain their bodies has to be put on hold while they try to find their friends and a way to regain their world.

A man who is a colonal in the Amestris army. He and his Lieutenant went missing after their world fell to darkness. He has been seen by a few people.

Squall "Leon" Leonheart
Homeworld: Hallow Bastion
A young man who lost his homeworld to the heartless. He had changed his name from Squall to Leon because he became ashamed he couldn't defend his homeworld. He now resides in Traverse Town and is willing to team up with others who have lost their homeworlds to defeat the Heartless once and for all.

Aerith Gainsborough

A young woman who lost her home to the darkness and became separated from most of her friends.
